My home town is Fairwater, WI. My husband and I have lived in Appleton, Madison, Milwaukee, Onalaska and Butte des Morts (last 11 years). With 3 children and 2 grandchildren in St. Paul, San Diego and Tampa, Thrift is family to me. Thankfully, I also love to travel!
Fun Fact About Me: I'm happiest in flip flops!
Best Thrift Story: There is no one favorite Thrift story. Instead it's all the "favorite" people it has brought into my life!

I volunteer at Winneconne Thrift & Gift for many reasons. Making new friends is one of the noteworthy benefits along with just being able to make an impact not only in the community but for many other non-profit organizations that are recipients of the WTG grants. I feel like I can make a difference at WTG using my leadership, technology and construction skills as well as helping others be the best they can be.

I have been a Winneconne resident for 15 years and married to Paul for 25 years. We have 4 children Luke, Nicholas, Maria and Maggie. I have always enjoyed volunteering and felt I could help at Thrift by giving of my talents with my retail and merchandising experience. It's such a great feeling to see Thrift grow over the years with sales and the blessing of donations from our community to help us to give Grant money to many needs in our community, country and world. I help sort clothes in the clothing department so we have nice clothes for our customers to purchase as they shop our store. I have enjoyed meeting new people as I volunteer at thrift and always feel rewarded as I help customers find a treasure at our Thrift store.
Fun Facts About Me: I enjoy sewing, gardening and camping with my family and friends.
Best Thrift Story: A chicken's incubator came in as a donation. As I came to volunteer one Thursday evening, I entered the store to find a volunteer waiting to show me the incubator as I would know what it was as they did not. I was thrilled to tell them it was an incubaor as I raise chickens and had been looking to buy one. You never know what you'll find at the thrift store. Have fun shopping!

I feel very fortunate to be associated with a very caring, personable and talented work staff. The store and staff fulfills a solid and significant support base for local needs and grant funding for other special community organizations. With a sense of humor, I like to cultivate some fun in socializing and interacting with them as well as the customers. And the treats provided in the lunchroom are always appreciated. Hint!
